Welcome Little Wimmer's

Okay my bestest friend in the whole wide world, Lorrin, wants to here birth stories so that is why you are so luck to read a quick version of mine.

Gavin Jeffrey born April 23rd, 2002. Wieghing in at 7 lbs 7 ounces.
Where he got his name: Gavin is a name I liked and Jeffrey is after his dad.

After a great pregnancy contractions started at 6 am. We went to the hospital around 11 am. They had me walk the halls for a little bit to get my contractions closer together. Before the epidural comes the dreaded IV. They had a hard time getting it in and even contemplated putting it in my foot. Fianlly they gave me a local in the arm and just dug around til they got the vein. After I got the required amount of IV fluids I got my epidual (definatly an epidual person) and the doc broke my water, this was at 7 cm. About an hour later and less than 10 min of pushing Gavin was born.

Bryson Edward born January 11th, 2004. Weighing in at 7 lbs.

I named Gavin so Jeff named Bryson. It is a combo of a couple names that Jeff liked. Bryan and Anson, which I did not care for. Edward was after my Grandpa.

Bryson's labor and delivery is almost identical to Gavin's. I did no hospital walking, the IV went much better and the epidural came earlier.

Austin Mark born May 11th, 2006. Weighing in at 8 lbs. 2 oz.

Austin is the first child we had a name for before we went to the hospital. We both liked it. Mark is after my brother who was killed in a car accident a couple of months before Austin was born.

Austin was a bit different we went to the hospital at 10 pm and did some hall walking there for hours. The contractions did not hurt much so walking was fine. Everytime I would come back to our room and get hooked up to the machines the nurses would always ask me to go walk because the contractions did not register very strong. My nurse, who was great, did not check me except when I got there and then just before her shift was over. She was shocked to find I was 8 cm when she checked me at 6am. I was shocked too because they did not really hurt and I was scared I was not going to get my epidural. So they rushed the epidural and my doctors shift started at 7. He came in and broke my water. Then left to go do a c-section. I really wish he had of stayed because my baby would have been born earlier. I waited about 1 1/2 hours for him to get back. When he got back he suited up and I pushed for 3 min exactly. Austin was born at 8:32 am.

Okay, first off, thanks for the stories. Second, you look like you are visiting a friend who had a baby in the last picture! YOU SUCK!!!! I still don't look that good and it has been 6 months, must have been because you had such wonderful and somewhat easy births. You left out how you had a cold when Bryson was born and you still had a good delivery. Although nowhere near as fast and easy as my car birth! Those are great, short and straight to the point stories. I wonder how the next one will go - you think the girl will be easy or hard? (not trying to jinx you:)

Oh, what sweet pictures! I love to see all your babies. Lorrin is right, you look like you are visiting someone at the hospital, not like you just had a baby! What is your secret?
