While I was mopping my floor Austin was playing.
But where was he playing?
Oh there.
Later that day he foiled the barrier and was climbing again.
This morning I found him on top of the kitchen table with napkins thrown everywhere. So his brothers and I made every effort to keep him off by pushing all the chairs in. Which led to this...
So what can I do to stop a climber from climbing?

That is soooo funny!! He looks so tiny, like a little elf on top of the filing cabinet! I say, get that boy a jungle gym and some rope. If you can't beat em, join em right? Well, I guess you have to keep a close eye on your ladders from now on.
Funny...did your other two climb? My little sister used to climb, nothing would stop her. Until the day that she fell from the countertop. She was wearing a pair of overalls, and as she fell they caught the drawer handles. She hung there screaming with her feet a few inches from the floor. It didn't hurt her but it sure scared her. I say take the advice of your last comment...jungle gym and rope, teach him to climb outside.
Oh my goodness!!! I can't believe what a good climber he is. Adam's Mom told me stories about Adam climbing on top of the fridge to get the cookie jar at 15 monthes old. I am so glad that Michael is an awful climber, he has trouble getting up on the couch. That picture of Austin in the chair cracks me up!
that kid FREAKS me out!
LOL!!! I remember Ranoah and Skylah climbing the table at 12 months!!! What did we do when we couldn't watch them all day? We stacked the chairs on the table!! Yep, just like a diner!!! It worked!!!!!
I can't believe him! What great balance, I can't believe he didn't fall!
Wow! Go! Austin Go! What a little dare devil! It's kind of scary how kids have no fear. Those pictures are so funny!
