Last night after I put the kids to bed I was sitting on my bed trying to finish the last few chapters of Breaking Dawn. A few minutes later Bryson came and slowly opened my door and said "Mom, I forgot I had to tell you something" But before he could finish his thought he started screaming and crying. He started standing on one foot and would not move. So after telling him to stop crying and come sit on my bed a couple times I just went and picked him up. After we got back to the bed I looked back over and saw the scorpion in the pic above start running across our carpet. Holy Crap I was so scared! Bryson got stung on the bottom of his foot...ouch!!! To make a long story short we got some great advise from many people in our ward and decided to just keep and eye on him for a while instead of rushing down to the ER. His foot is still a little numb and red at red where he was stung. Bryson handled it like a champ and is doing just fine.
Jeff captured the Scorpion and we have it imprisoned in a jar on top of our fridge. It has been sentenced to death by starvation or suffocation. I know that my sound cruel to some but too bad. I hate Scorpions with a passion. YUCK!

YUCK! I hate Scoprions too! Poor Bryson, I hope he is better soon!
That I must say is one thing that I do not miss about Arizona. I would see one in the house and then I couldn't sleep. How is Bryson's foot? What do you do for a sting?
EWWWW!!! My worst fear! Yucky! I am so sorry that happened to him. I don't think that sounds like an unfair death for such a beast. Adam found one one time and cut it with scissors over and over until it died. NASTY! Such icky critters.

Oh my gosh that's so sad.... out dog got stung the 1st year we lived in az and that sucked. if it was my kid i would have fliped out. Now about breaking dawn i have a post about it but you can not say anything cause kevin wont let me start reading it until I finish the host (only in chapter 11 and feel stupid)
Oh man, that is so sad for Bryson. That is honestly my worst fear, I have yet to see one but I am sure I will flip out when I do. Good job on being so calm, I would of loaded up and headed to the hospital. I am a little bit of a spaz. Plus I always thought that those things could kill you. Have you ever seen scorpions in your house before this?
Holy crap! That is a HUGE scorpion! I have never seen one that big inside before! Poor little boy. I hope he feels better soon. I went around and took all of the bedskirts off of the beds after someone told me they crawl up them and then sting you when you sleep! Scarey!!
Ok thats totally awful I mean seriously GROSS and scary! I dont know how you stayed calm OR SLEPT! No thanks! Poor little guy! I hope he continues to get better! However I hope that scorpion dies a horrible terrible suffering death!
P.S. The WEDDING IS ON! With boys as cute as yours how could I say no!!! Lets get to planning!
Oh how scary! I hate scorpions but I am glad you didn't get to scared. My sister got stung and my mom thought she was going to die. (My sister was a freshman at college and moving into her new apartment).
I can't believe how big your boys are now! Looks like you are doing great.
Yuck!! We've had three in our house the past month. Luckily none have stung us. Poor Bryson. I bet that hurt pretty bad. I hope that nasty things dies a slow death! :)
that is one scary looking scorpion! He seemed so good while he was climbing all over the place at lunch that I wouldn't have guessed that anything had happened to him unless you had told me. I am so glad that it wasn't worse!
And - it was super-fab to see you guys there too! :)
Oh my goodness I am with you. I can't stand those things. I have lot's of nasty family stories about the little buggers I will have to share with you some time!
Sara, Thank you soooooooo much for the help I am much happier with my new blog because of you. But I still need to figure out some stuff like how to have my pic pop up like you did when you make a comment!! That is awesome!! Any who I will call you again next time I get a chance.
Holy cow....you didn't even say anything when we talked today about Bryson. That would be sooo scary. He is such a trooper.
Awwww, poor guy! That sounds horrible!
Yikes!! I hate them, too. I have never seen one, but never want to either. I have heard too much about them.
Eww!! That is scary and creepy. I don't have a soft spot for scorpions. I'm glad he is okay.
The creepy little buggers!! Rather than get scared, I get mad when I see them inside the house now. Brooke got stung when she was just barely 1. We called Poison Control and they told us what to watch for and even called back twice to check on her. Glad Bryson is okay!
